There are several forms of drive axle
The drive axle is an important part of the automobile drive train. It usually includes several parts such as the main reducer, differential and half shaft.
According to different design and use requirements, the drive axle has many forms. Among them, the main reducer and differential of the integral drive axle are integral, compact in structure, light in weight, but poor in maintainability, and the heat dissipation performance is not as good as that of the separate drive axle. The main reducer and differential of the separate drive axle are designed separately, with good maintainability and superior heat dissipation performance, but the weight is relatively heavy.
In addition, the wheel-side reduction drive axle installs the main reducer and differential near the wheels to make the transmission ratio larger, which is suitable for large vehicles or heavy vehicles. In addition, when the steering drive axle is turning, there is relative movement between the input shaft and the output shaft of the final drive, which can reduce the load of the steering mechanism and improve the steering stability of the car.
Finally, the air suspension drive axle uses air springs as elastic elements, which can automatically adjust the suspension stiffness according to the road conditions to improve the driving comfort and comfort of the car.
